Honey Creek is the camp and conference center of the Episcopal Diocese of Georgia located conveniently close to I-95 just south of Brunswick in Camden County. Since the 1950s, when the camp was created to replace the previous Camp Reese on Saint Simons Island, Honey Creek has offered a unique place for retreats and other events. An online album of photographs showing all of the facilities at Honey Creek is available here.
The 100-acre grounds on a tidal creek looks across the marsh to Jekyll Island on Georgia’s coast. Honey Creek has 40 motel rooms in the lodge, three dormitory buildings, a large dining hall, two large meeting rooms, a chapel, and a variety of smaller meeting rooms. Visitors find peace among the stately live oaks and large pines of Honey Creek. The conference center also hosts a summer camp program each summer in a variety of sessions for children from 3rd through 12th grade. An online album of photographs from the 2011 summer camp program is available here.
While affiliated with The Episcopal Church, our camp and conference facilities are open to others. Honey Creek hosts a variety of other events for businesses, non-profits and families.
