As part of the Clergy and Lay Leadership Development initiative, the Diocese sponsors a Workshop on Emotional Intelligence and Human Relations Skills. The workshop is designed specifically for those involved in faith based communities.
The dates are: June 5-9, 2017 and Oct 2-6, 2017.
Previous participants have described this experience as a life changing event. The Very Rev. Denise Ronn says “EQ has helped me distinguish between the event and the way I respond to it, thereby learning better ways to handle myself and the situation.” Ronn adds, “If you are planning on taking any continuing education this year, EQ training should be your first priority.”
If you have already attended one of the conflict management workshops you will find that this will add value to what you have already learned. If you haven’t it is highly recommended that you attend this workshop before you attend conflict management. At the moment the Diocese has limited this workshop to ordained clergy, seminarians, other in process and diocesan staff.
