1:00 Meet, greet, and rejoice in community. Orientation for new postulants with Geri Nelson.
2:00 Introductions, overview of training session, & handouts. Discussion: Your Way with God’s Word.
3:00-4:30 Scripture readings (to be posted): background and approaches.
6:00 Evening Prayer
6:30 Dinner
7:30 Group work on Scripture, in preparation for presenting homilies on Saturday.
8:30 Compline
9:00 Social time
Saturday, Oct. 18
8:00 Morning Prayer
8:30 Breakfast
9:30 “Tales from the Trenches”: The Rev. Peter Ingeman.
10:30-10:45 Break.
10:45 Practice homilies presented (group discussion & evaluation)
12:00 Noon Prayer
12:30-2:15: Lunch and retreat time and/or conferences.
2:30 Practice homilies presented (group discussion & evaluation)
4:00 Closing Eucharist and presentation of certificates.
