A home page for the Diocese of Georgia, complete with sermons, general information, calendars, publications, and guides to parishes and missions.

North American Association for the Diaconate

The web site for the NAAD, an organization in the Anglican churches of North America: the Episcopal Church and the Anglican Church of Canada, that promotes renewal of the diaconate, provides support for deacons and for dioceses with deacons, and engages in  theological dialogue about diakonia.

The Washington National Cathedral

The national house of prayer for all people offers an award-winning web site replete with useful information for visitors and non-visitors alike, including video and audio links to sermons; schedules for worship, state days, contemplative programs, and musical offerings; a media archive; and other programs.

The Anglican Communion Official Website

Like the ECUSA web site, this important guide to the world-wide Anglican Communion has a host of links, including those to Instruments of Unity, ACC Ministries, Networks, and Related Organisations.

The Daily Office

Mission of St. Clare posts a Daily Office that can be read online or downloaded to a PDA and provides a number of useful links to the prayers, psalms, lectionary, lessons, biographies, and music.

The Lectionary

A collection of Lectionary resources for the Episcopal Church, updated every Sunday night.

Northumbria Community

Inspired by, drawing from, and living in the spiritual tradition of monasticism, the Community is geographically dispersed and strongly ecumenical but with an identity rooted in the history and spiritual heritage of Celtic Northumbria. The Daily Office is HERE.

Bible Gateway

This mega-site is especially useful for its passage lookup and word search capabilities in  over eighteen translations (not the NRSV) of the Bible.

The New Revised Standard Version of the Bible

Exactly what its title says, this NRSV is easily searchable by passage. Like the Bible Gateway, it provides a host of links to study resources.

The Five Gospels Parallels

This site allows the user to place Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Thomas side-by-side in various combinations (for instance, the three synoptics; the four canonicals; the "Q Twosome," and so forth.

An Invitation to Prayer

Sponsored by the Church of England, this site offers both prayers and useful links to a variety of denominations.

Christian Classics Ethereal Library

Classic Christian books in electronic format. As the site explains, "There is enough good reading material here to last you a lifetime, if you give each work the time it deserves!" This site is always looking for volunteers to proofread, scan, recommend new additions, etc.

Music

The following links to church music resources have been drawn from a list prepared by Marty Wheeler Burnett. They are posted with her permission and with the permission of Sewanee's From the Mountain, where the complete list first appeared.

The American Guild of Organists offers conferences,workshops, chapters, educational programs, and a journal, The American Organist.

Cyber Hymnal includes almost 5000 hymns and songs, along with MIDI files, lyrics, scores, etc.

Episcopal Church Liturgy and Music Page is a new site launched by the Office of Liturgy and Music.

The Hymn Society of America and Canada sponsors a publication, news of conferences and events, workshops,  tours, and new hymn texts.

Leadership Program for Musicians Serving Small Congregations (LPM) offers newsletters,  conferences, information about training leading to the Presiding Bishop's Certificate in Church Music.

Online Daily Office is the site for online BCP liturgies, hymns, and canticles.

The Sewanee Church Music Conference and the Mississippi Conference on Church Music and Liturgy provide continuing education for church musicians.
